The photo of Fidel & Jo is a classic, timeless image of a boy and his dog. You instantly recall memories of carefree childhood days romping to infinity and beyond with a loyal pup at your side. But Fidel is more than a loyal pet and ex-racing greyhound and beloved companion to Jo & his family. Jo was recently diagnosed as beng austic and mom Mandy tell us that through kindness and patience and unending love Fidel is assisting Jo to develop his skills. Fidel and Jo have another bond ~ Mandy adopted both of her boys in the same year.
Fidel is an awesome example of a wonderful racing greyhound becoming a wonderful greyhound pet. The qualities learned during their racing days bring joy to the families that adopt them as well allow them to shine in so many amazing ways in their second careers as great pets.
