2015 BetAmerica Floridian Condition Sheet

*Naples Fort Myers Greyhound kennels guaranteed minimum 16 free entries. The greyhound’s racing papers must be on file with the Racing Secretary at NFM by November 15, 2015 in order to qualify for a free entry.
No Refunds once entry is paid.

Nominators will be protected from double entries as long as possible.
Once 32 entries are received the race will be closed. (See next condition)
The maximum number of greyhounds from other Florida tracks that can be entered would be 16- (remaining 16 guaranteed to NFM)
Eligibility:
The Floridian will be run for the State of Florida Championship. Greyhounds will have to show their last 6 lines at a Florida track, or have at least 12 races at a Florida track within the last 12 months.
If more than sixteen (16) outside entries are received, the greyhounds will be chosen based on UGR rankings, present racing form, and with home track consideration.
The Naples-Fort Myers Racing Office will be responsible for approving all entries from the NFM kennels.
If greyhounds need to school, they must do so by December 11, 2015.
Distance:
The races will run at a distance of 550 yards.
Qualifying Rounds:
Round One: Four races (32 entries) - The top 4 finishers in each race advance to the Semi-Finals.
Semi-Finals:
The top 4 finishers from each of the Semi-Final races will move on to the Finals.
The first place finisher in the Final will be declared the 2015 BetAmerica Floridian Champion
Winner of the 2015 BetAmerica Floridian will receive an automatic bid to the BetAmerica Daytona 550.
Other Information:
Any greyhound that receives a ticket for interfering or is scratched in any of the qualifying rounds will be removed from further competition. The next fastest competitor in the qualifying rounds will serve as a replacement.
Entry fees collected will be put toward bonus payout and event expenses.
All incoming greyhounds must run with a Naples Fort Myers Greyhound Racing & Poker Room Kennel, and purse distribution arrangements must be on file with the Racing Secretary two weeks prior to the qualifying round.
Minimum purse percentage due to NFM kennel is 15 per cent.
United Greyhound Racing will provide a winning stakes blanket and trophy to the winning greyhound.
Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Racing & Poker Room Management reserves the right to cancel or change dates of the race(s) due to unforeseen circumstances (kennel sickness, weather, etc.).
